Vendor
partnership quidelines

Thank you for your interest in partnering with Sugar Creek Farm. We value working with local makers, growers, and producers and aim to build relationships that are supportive, transparent, and mutually beneficial. The following outlines how we operate the farmstand and what approved vendors can expect.

Consignment Structure

Sugar Creek Farm operates on a 70/30 consignment model. Vendors receive 70% of the retail price, and the farm retains 30% to support space, utilities, marketing, transaction processing, and overall farmstand operations.

This structure allows us to maintain a diverse mix of local products while keeping the farmstand accessible and well-managed.

pricing

Vendors are responsible for setting their own retail pricing. We ask that pricing reflects the local market and aligns with the overall feel and accessibility of the farmstand.

If adjustments are ever needed for consistency or clarity, we will communicate directly and work together to find a solution.

Payments

Vendor payments are issued weekly, upon delivery, or as mutually agreed upon. Each payment will include a summary of items sold so that vendors can track performance and restocking needs.

We aim to keep payment processes simple and transparent.

product standards

All products must:

  • Be produced within New England.

  • Be made or produced by the applying vendor.

  • Be properly labeled in accordance with applicable state regulations.

  • Meet any required licensing or permit standards prior to placement.

If you are unsure what regulations apply to your product, we are happy to help direct you toward appropriate resources.

inventory

Vendors are encouraged to monitor inventory levels and coordinate restocking to keep products available and fresh. We’re happy to communicate regularly to ensure the farmstand remains organized and well-stocked.

product presentation

Product placement is managed in a way that supports the overall flow and presentation of the farmstand. We may occasionally adjust displays to maintain consistency and create the best experience for customers.

Our goal is to highlight products in a way that benefits both vendors and the farmstand as a whole.

communication

We value open communication and collaborative relationships. If questions or concerns arise on either side, we encourage direct conversation to maintain a positive working partnership.

Discontinuation

Either party may choose to discontinue participation with reasonable notice. Our goal is always to part ways respectfully and professionally if needed.

Events

Approved vendors may have opportunities to participate in seasonal events, pop-ups, or collaborative promotions as they arise. Participation is optional and based on availability.
